Judaun was born to an African American father, Terrence Burton and a South Korean mother, Mai Nguyen. His grandfather, a wealthy politician, named Dae-Hyun Nguyen didn’t approve of his parent’s relationship and when his daughter fell ill, his grandfather only agreed to care for her if she abandoned her lover and son.
Burton didn’t want to see the love of his life die nor did he want his son to suffer through his mother’s death. After all, Judaun was 7 years old at the time. So, Terrence and Mai agreed to separate with promise to marry once she recovered.
However, Dae-Hyun had a different plan. Shortly after Mai moved back to her father’s house, Terrence and Judaun were attacked while they slept. Terrence was killed but Judaun escaped. For the next few years Judaun wandered the streets, doing whatever he could to survive.
Judaun met Victor when he was about 13 years old on the streets of Cairo. It was a happenstance that Judaun was in the right place at the right time to distract bounty hunters that allowed Victor to escape the rage of an unsatisfied customer. Victor took him in temporarily out of guilt, but Judaun proved too valuable to let go, so he made him a member of his crew.
